Yes. The final is on 5 June 2027 at the Metropolitano in Madrid. UEFA opens the general sale in spring as a ballot, with a maximum of two tickets per person, and the finalists only learn their allocation in May. LuxTicket already holds allocations for the final: we have worked since 2017 through a wide network of partners and secure a category long before the general sale. The exact seat becomes known shortly before the match.
How it worksThe 2026/27 Champions League final will be played on Saturday 5 June 2027 at the Metropolitano in Madrid, Atlético's home ground. The UEFA Executive Committee chose Madrid on 11 September 2025. It is the Metropolitano's second final: the first was on 1 June 2019, when Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-0.
A whole season stands between now and the final: the league phase runs to 27 January 2027, then the knockout play-offs, the round of 16, the quarter-finals and the semi-final second legs on 4 and 5 May. The finalists will be known a month before the match, but a place at the final can be secured now. Below we explain how it works and how booking now differs from buying in spring.
The final is sold by UEFA, not by a club, and it has its own process. The 2026 final in Budapest is a good guide: of the 61,400 seats at the Puskás Aréna, 39,000 went to fans and the general public. Each of the two finalists received 17,200 tickets, and around 5,000 went to neutral fans from around the world. The rest of the bowl is shared between UEFA, national associations, sponsors and the hospitality programme.
The general sale was not first come, first served but a ballot: applications were open from 16 to 19 March 2026, with a maximum of two tickets per person, and the draw took place after the window closed. There are four categories: Fans First, only for supporters of the finalist clubs, then categories 3, 2 and 1. Tickets are personal, delivered to the UEFA mobile app and tied to the phone the holder uses to enter the stadium. UEFA will announce the 2027 process separately, but the logic of allocations and a ballot stays the same from final to final.
The practical conclusion is simple. The general sale cannot guarantee you a place at the final: in spring you submit an application, and the odds in the ballot are small. You also cannot choose a category for a group larger than two, and supporters of the finalists only learn about their club allocation in May.
LuxTicket has been working since 2017, and over that time we have built a wide network of partners across the European ticket and hospitality market. That is why for the biggest matches, and above all for finals, we hold allocations long before sales open: we confirm a category when there is nothing yet to buy on general sale. For the final, it means a place for 5 June 2027 can be secured in autumn 2026, without waiting for the ballot or the semi-finals.
Allocations by category are not unlimited, and for the final they go earlier than for any club match of the season. The earlier the request, the wider the choice of categories and the easier it is to seat a group together. We are not affiliated with UEFA and do not sell tickets on its behalf: we are an independent secondary-market reseller, and access is arranged through partner allocations.
When you book the final, we confirm a category: a zone of the stadium with a clear view and price. The exact block, row and seat become known shortly before the match, when UEFA finalises the seating and issues the tickets. That is how the final works for everyone, including the finalists' own supporters, and it is not a quirk of our service.
Which gives you a simple test. A seller who in autumn names "block 115, row 8" for a final in June is naming something that does not exist yet. The honest answer sounds like "category 1, side stand", and the seat arrives closer to the date. How categories work at the Metropolitano is covered in our Metropolitano seating guide, and what else to check before paying is in the guide on how to check a ticket reseller.
A booking now is a booking for the match, not for a pair of teams. If you support a particular club, the decision is simple: your place at the final is secured, and whether your club gets there becomes clear in May. If it does, you are already in the stand; if not, you still watch the biggest club match of the season live.
Waiting for the semi-finals only makes sense if the pairing is what matters to you. But after 5 May demand for the final rises within days: supporters of two clubs compete for the same seats, and hardly any categories are left.
